Living in Monaco

Residency

To apply for Monaco residency, you must be at least 16 years old and meet the following requirements:

• Own or rent a property in the Principality as your primary residence
• Open a bank account with a minimum deposit of €500,000 with a Monaco-based bank
• Demonstrate financial self-sufficiency
• Exercise a professional activity or maintain a local commercial presence

Monaco residents (excluding French nationals) benefit from full income tax exemption. There are no property taxes or residence taxes in the Principality.
